Are You Addicted to Failure?
You might think that sounds a bit ridiculous. Who could be addicted to something like failure?
An addiction to failure is when people use failure as their safety net. Sounds weird, right? Keep reading.
When someone labels themselves as a failure, they’ve instantly lowered their expectations – and those of everyone around them. They’ve set the bar so low that whenever they do make a teeny bit of progress, they and everyone else can celebrate the achievement. But, it’s nowhere near what they could actually be accomplishing. And, if they fail repeatedly, guess what? Their label of failure was RIGHT! And, it feels good to be right. Plus, it keeps them in their comfort zone.
Another way people use failure is to label something as too hard, too strict, too much, too whatever. Giving themselves an excuse for not even trying to accomplish it.
People need to stop protecting themselves from success.
When you try something, and it is hard to do, try again. Keep doing it until it becomes easier. Guess what? Whatever you keep doing will become easier with time. It’s that simple.
You have a choice.
You can live life the way you always have, or you can live the life you’ve always wanted. Which will it be?
If you are ready to push out of your comfort zone, take one simple action, immediately. Do the thing you’ve been putting off.
No more excuses.
No more – letting feelings run your life.
Lots of action and a determined spirit is the difference between those who cry victim and don’t succeed, versus those who make success seem effortless. A simple shift in your mindset can make a world of difference.
